This figure was released in 2014 to celebrate the Chinese New Year. It’s a repaint of MP-10 Convoy and has some but not all of the formers accessories, omitted are Roller and the Spike Whitwicky figure.
A much maligned figure YotH Optimus Prime has drawn the most criticism due to it’s colour scheme, which I’ll admit upon initially hearing about I thought this could be hard on the eyes, this further not helped by the promotional images which didn’t do it any justice. However I took a chance and got myself one and when I got it in hand, you know that colour scheme that has no business or right to work….well it just does. Nice deep reds, metallic flecks in the darker blue and the gold chrome just set each other off and don’t get me started on the translucent trailer, I’m a sucker for translucent plastic. It’s a figure that is so much better in hand as opposed to photographs, so with that I decided to take some pictures to post here. Not a review, not a blog just a gallery of images of what I think is a great figure that will in time become more appreciated.
