WHAT'S NEW IN THE VAULT: SPOTLIGHT: FANS TOYS FT-63 TURBO

Windcharger is one of those Transformers characters who perhaps doesn't get quite as much attention as some of his fellow Autobots.

First appearing in the 1984 Transformers cartoon, he was one of the Autobot Mini-Vehicles and, like many characters from that era, made sporadic appearances throughout the first and second seasons before disappearing into the wider Transformers universe.

Fans Toys FT-63 Turbo takes that familiar G1 design and gives it a rather substantial modern makeover. The result is a figure that retains the character's distinctive appearance while introducing the sort of engineering, articulation and attention to detail that would have been rather difficult to imagine when the original toy was released.

There's certainly plenty to admire here, and with a modest range of articulation, I was looking forward to seeing what Turbo could do in front of the camera.
